Happy Thursday Afternoon Everyone,
It's funny how short weeks always feel like long weeks. Monday started with a district strategic planning meeting with the folks from Lynch Leadership Academy. We are looking at how we can build both an equitable vision and mission. We will be working over the next few months at planning with the folks from Lynch to make this a reality. We had a 90 minute early release for students on Monday, and with grades closing at the end of last week, we were happy to be able to give most people in the building a little extra time to complete all of their work.
Tuesday's PD Day with Harvard and Littleton was both inspiring and eye-opening. Ken Williams opening presented issues around equity in a way that reframed how we approach education. The sessions saw many of our teachers present on topics, including Melanie & Nick, Tracey and Dayna. Thank you to all of the presenters!
Yesterday and Today, we have been working hard at finalizing grades to be sent out on Monday.
Next week is a busy one with MCAS Math retests on Tuesday and Wednesday, Curriculum Meetings on Wednesday and Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences on Thursday and Friday.
We hope everyone is able to enjoy the long weekend.
Sincerely,
Spencer & Miriam
Staff Spirit Days
To do something a little fun and silly, we are bringing back Staff Spirit Days. The spirit days will take place on the short week of Thanksgiving. Prizes will be awarded to those deemed most spirited for the day.

Wednesday, 11/23- Dress like your high school self
Google Keep for Quick Walkthrough notes
We are going to be using Google Keep to take notes on these short visits where we share with you our notes and musings. Google Keep allows for you to collaborate by providing feedback and answering questions (we both tend to ask questions when we are unsure of an answer).
We have already started to use the Google Keep note taking system and have folks respond to the notes. The hope in this process is to provide immediate feedback and to create a space where we can share our thoughts.
