February is Heart Health Month so along with the Kids Heart Challenge we will be learning about ways to keep our hearts healthy and strong.
Some of the topics your child will be learning about during PE classes are:
Cardiovascular endurance/strength
Eating Healthy
The 5 functions of the Heart
Other ways to help our bodies stay fit
We are setting a goal of $500 in donations to the American Heart Association and more than 50% of students to enroll in the challenge. If we reach this goal, our school will receive $500 in US Games gift certificates for physical education and recess equipment. DONATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.
If you have any questions about the event please do not hesitate to reach out.

In order for you to receive your child’s report card electronically, you will need to set up your PowerSchool account and verify that your email address is accurate. Report cards that are sent electronically will come in two forms. The first will be a PDF document as an email attachment. The report card will also be located in the Documents folder in your PowerSchool account.
If you have any questions or problems activating your account please email the IT department at support@agawamed.org.

Reminders from the Office
- Please make sure that if your child is absent that you call the school. Please leave a voicemail under the attendance mailbox if we are unable to answer the phone.
- We have noticed a number of parents parking across the street at dismissal. We ask that you please join the carline dismissal. School St. is very busy and there is no crosswalk or crossing guard to help keep students safe.
- Changes in dismissal should be communicated to Mrs. DiLullo in the main office by phone or email as well as the classroom teacher. Please try to avoid changing dismissal plans after 2:30pm.

Instructions
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Place oats, peanut butter, honey, protein powder and chocolate chips in a large bowl and stir to combine.
Getting the mixture to combine takes a little arm muscle and it may seem too thick at first, but it will come together as you keep mixing. I used my hands to knead the dough near the end and that seems to help.
Once combined, use a small cookie scoop to scoop and form the dough into balls.
Store in a covered container in the fridge or freezer.
