Greetings Imagine Broward Families!

We hope everyone is having a fantastic summer break. Before you know it, your children will be back to school. Teachers and staff are so excited to welcome our students and families back! Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 18th. We are planning for a safe start to school with all students back with in person learning. Cleaning and sanitizing continues as we prepare for our new school year.

FSA Scores and MS Report Cards

FSA scores have still not been released by the state (except 3rd Grade ELA). Once scores are released, you may check your student's scores through virtual counselor. Normally middle school report cards are sent out by the County. This year, they are having parents and students access their final report cards through virtual counselor.

To access Virtual Counselor: Please go to this site https://www.browardschools.com/virtualcounselor

Then Click Student. The username is student's 06# and the password is MM/DD/YYYY with the slashes. When the school receives the physical paper FSA reports, we will send them home with your child in their backpack.

Meet and Greet

We are planning to have our Meet and Greet welcome sessions in person this year. Teachers are excited to meet you, show you their classroom, have you fill out required paperwork, and build a positive relationship with you and your child. Each session is one hour in duration in your child's homeroom class. Teachers will be calling you directly to welcome you and your child to their class, provide you with room number and give you more specifics about their Meet and Greet. Please come at least one half hour early prior to your session to go to our Great Room for you to sign up and get information on our PTO, lunch accounts, EPI school supply distribution, JIF Club membership, InUnison On Site uniform sales, spirit shirt sales, before/aftercare signup, middle school athletics, and more.

Times for Meet & Greet:

9:00 a.m. Kindergarten

10:30 4th & 5th Grades

12:00 1st Grade

1:30 2nd & 3rd Grades

3:00 Middle School - 6th, 7th, & 8th Grades

Uniforms

Please remember we are a uniform school. Students are expected to be in school uniform daily. Below is a flyer letting parents know that InUnison will be coming to our school on our Meet and Greet Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Remember when providing your child with a sweatshirt/hoodie, it must be solid navy blue with no logos (except the Imagine logo).

School Supplies

It is that time of year to begin planning for the next school year. If you are going to purchase supplies at the store, remember that the tax free weekend was expanded to 10 days this year. The sales tax holiday will take place from Saturday, July 31 through Monday, August 9 giving parents a break from the state's 6% sales tax. Please see the flyer below from EPI supplies, they are still taking orders that will ship directly to your house (however, no longer at the discounted price). Go to educationalproducts.com and enter IMA033 for our school to view our supply lists. If you ordered school supplies through EPI that is being delivered to the school, your supply packet will be available in the Great Room at Meet and Greet.

Immunization Requirements Kindergarten and 7th Grade

Please remember that any student attending school in person must provide a Florida Certificate of Immunization DH 680 form. This is especially important if your child is an incoming Kindergarten or 7th grade student. Please see the flyer below from Florida KidCare outlining the requirements. Please don't wait until the last minute, the schools are required to have the immunization forms before students can start.

Lunch Accounts

Florida will be providing free breakfast and lunch for all students, until further notice. Schools are still required to have parents fill out the free and reduced lunch forms at Meet and Greet. If your child would like to purchase a second meal or buy any a la carte items, setup a lunch account for them the week before school starts.

  • Go to www.myschoolaccount.com
  • Click on Create Account at top of home page
  • Fill out form - parent registers first, then parent may add student
  • Contact school for lunch account number (not the 06#) the week before school starts by emailing katie.ellis@imagineschools.org
  • For new students to the school or District, student numbers will be available from the front office the week before school starts. Any questions, please email rebecca.chouinard@imagineschools.org

Before and After Care Program

Imagine School at Broward offers a safe and fun program. If you enroll in our program BY AUGUST 6, the $50 registration fee will be waived. Please see the enrollment packet here and send to roni.prager@imagineschools.org. Mrs. Prager will be available at the Meet and Greet in the Great Room to answer any questions you may have.

Employment Opportunities

We are seeking high quality staff members to join our Imagine Broward family. Resumes for teachers, before/aftercare staff, paraprofessionals, and lunch staff are being accepted. Please email debra.darling@imagineschools.org.

Loving our Imagine Broward Family!
