A Message From Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
Happy Episcopal Schools Week! GES is proud to be part of such a historic network of excellence in education, and this week we celebrated our church-school relationships. Please review our mission statement with your children...if they recite it to any teacher by next Friday, they can earn a free dress day pass!
I spent the afternoon touring St. Frederick High School with our 8th graders. We got to visit classrooms, see a robotics experiment, and tour the sports complex. It was also great to see Grace alumni who helped give the tours. At 2:00, we filed into the gym and watched the Pep Rally where our incredibly talented Gator Squad performed. I was proud to be represented by these amazing students. Our 8th graders were the perfect guests...so articulate and polished. And our Gator Squad's routine was complex, challenging... and flawless.
Grace Gators have been representing GES positively in other activities as well. We have had several trips to the Pumpkin Patch, the Fire Station, and the Little Theater. Consistent comments from our hosts have been that our students are well-behaved, smart, interested in what is going on, and welcome back any time!
Finally, our GES 5/6 Football team participates in this weekend's final league tournament, Swamp Bowl. I am proud of this dedicated group of boys and their coaches. Finish strong Gators!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Dr. Beth J. Ricks
