Teacher Candidate,

We hope you are having an enjoyable summer. Your School of Education faculty has been working hard this summer to enhance the program for the upcoming academic year. We wanted to take time during the beginning of the semester to update you on the changes and to officially welcome candidates who are entering the program this fall.

We have scheduled a teacher education orientation for Saturday, August 23, 2014 on the main campus of Gardner-Webb University from 9AM-5PM. Lunch will be provided. Check-in for the orientation will begin at 8:30 in the atrium of Tucker Student Center. You will need to register via EventBrite by visiting the link above. Please bring your iPad or other Internet device. The orientation is mandatory for all undergraduate School of Education candidates. If you cannot attend the orientation, you must email Dr. Kelly Clark (ktclark@gardner-webb.edu), Director of Undergraduate Studies, to determine other arrangements for the orientation.

Topics to be discussed are as follows: overview of revised Teacher Education handbook / expectations, Taskstream, Teachscape, Conceptual Framework, Clinical Experiences, licensure exams, etc.
