Principal Corner

Greetings from Mrs. Phelan

Happy November!

This weekend we witnessed the awesomeness of democracy, seeing the first woman to be elected Vice President of the United States. This moment rekindles my faith that our future is limitless and filled with hope. What a difference a few days can make in one's overall well-being. Waking up today, you could feel the milder weather ushering in a softer temperament. Last week for the first time in a long time, school began to feel like it was getting back to normal as we settled into our second week of in-person learning. In keeping with our gratitude theme this month, I feel grateful for living in a free and democratic country who just elected the first woman vice president, Kalama Harris!

Thank you to all those you have served our country, Happy Veteran's Day!

Have a Wonderful Week Ahead!

Last week at the Lowell

Lennie The Leopard was spotted in Mrs. Antonellis 4th grade class

This week Lennie and the students reviewed rounding to any place value up to 100,000 and completed their math i-Ready diagnostic. In reading, we worked on identifying character traits and character changes. In writing, students revised their main event and worked on narrative structures. They have completed the writing process for their first piece this year. In science, students created wonderful presentations for their plant/animal research projects! In social studies, students learned about voting and reflected on our election unit. We really enjoyed having Lennie in our class this week
