What do the Dietary Guidelines do for Americans?

Health risks are risks that hurt your health that you could possibly be doing to your self. Diet- a special course of food to which one restricts oneself either to loose weight or medical reasons.

Getting enough nutrients within your calorie needs.

Your age, metabolism, sex, and genetic blueprint determines your calorie needs. Too much body fat can lead to heart disease. Being underweight can lead to anorexia. You can loose wait by getting on a healthy diet.

Active Living

Living active can make you look healthy and increase your energy. A teen should get up to 60 minutes of physical activity a day. Make time for something active or do something that makes time for physical activity.

These foods increase your energy, help you keep a healthy diet, and create and healthy food system. It is good for everything in your body and help it provide the nutrients. You can put it into you breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Saturated fates and foods with low proprieties are bad for your cholesterol. You can get heart disease from it. Watch the fats that you eat on a daily bases.

Be choosy about carbohydrates.

Food with natural sugars are: fruits vegetables and milk products. Foods with added sugar are: salad dressing yogurt or soup. You should limit you sugar intake because your body wont process it as well.

Why reduce sodium and increase potassium?

Sodium helps the muscles work properly. Most peoples kidneys have trouble when there is too much sodium in the body. Potassium maintain the proper balance of body fluid.

Why is food safety important to the Dietary Guidelines?

Food safety treats your body how it should and you don't want to put foods in your body that will hurt you and also you don't want to take out the important foods.
