Crazy Week!

Our return to school has certainly been quite unusual! From the loss of power on Tuesday and school evacuation to the 2 hour delays......Here's hoping that next week will be a little less eventful!

Speaking of next week: we will be doing the mid-year PALS assessments. We will not be doing our normal reading group activities so that we can get the assessments completed. This means that your child will not be bringing home their reading book or spelling words. We will still be in the business of learning though! Students will be playing games that help them review sight words, spelling concepts and will be making some comprehension connections. The assessments have to be done to measure growth and to ensure that we are hitting the learning benchmarks. Once they are completed, I will be sharing the information with you. Stay tuned!
