February 2019

LORI (Library of Rhode Island) Certification Update

The certification window opened on January 15th and will close on March 15th. Almost half of the RILINK/LORI member libraries have completed the process! Three schools will be first time members as of April 1st.

ALL RILINK/LORI libraries must complete annual or full certification to continue receiving the benefits of membership including resource sharing with RILINK/LORI schools and the entire Ocean State Libraries network. It is also possible to borrow from academic and out-of-state libraries. The ability to provide needed materials to your students, staff, teachers and administrators is one of the ways school libraries are seen as an essential partner in creating lifelong learners.

A wealth of interlibrary loan information is available on the RILINK LibGuide. Specific information about certification is available at .

RILINK staff is available to assist with the certification process. Email questions to Karen.
