Hello Hampshire Trojans,

I hope all the wonderful mothers out there had a great Mother's Day Weekend!

Although we are still facing COVID19 challenges, we continue to move forward in a positive direction as the 2020-2021 school year comes to a close. Please continue to wear a mask, social distance when possible, and wash hands throughout the day. We need to keep our students in school these final few weeks so we can finish strong!

As of now, AP Exams are still taking place as scheduled and Senior Prom is on for this Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. We will communicate with everyone as quick as possible if anything changes.

Despite the roller coaster ride we have been on all year, I am so proud of our students, staff, parents, and community. We have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. Having both girls and boys basketball teams making it to the state tournament gave us a lot of excitement the past several weeks. Earlier this year, we had cross-county, wrestling, swimming, FFA, DECA, and HOSA compete at the state level. This is the result of all the dedication, determination, and hard work that our coaches, sponsors, and students give each day.

I had the opportunity to travel down to Charleston to watch our girls and boys in action. I was impressed how well our community traveled to support our student-athletes...thank you! We didn't get the outcome that we wanted, but it was an incredible journey for all. Congratulations to Drew Keckley for being selected to the WVSSAC Class AAA All-Tournament Team...well deserved!!! A BIG shoutout to our fans for being selected for the WVSSAC Class AAA Sportsmanship Award...if you don't win the championship, this is the next best award to win! Way to go Trojans!!!
