Keeping our Students Safe
Chromebook Use We have a new program that alerts administration when students are exploring explicit content or using devices in an unsafe way. The administration will contact families if there are any concerns. Several students are using Google Meets to socialize with friends. Google Meets should not be used without teachers present. | Bookbags, Coats, & CellPhones In order to keep our building as safe as possible we are asking students to put bookbags, coats, and cell phones in lockers. All students have access to locks and should use them to keep their items protected. The administration has cameras that view all lockers. Cell phones were a distraction during the first part of the school year. Our staff will not use cell phones as a learning tool, so there is no need for students to have them in the classrooms. We appreciate your support in helping us eliminate learning disruptions. | Masks The majority of our students did an outstanding job wearing their masks properly. However, we still have students who are not wearing them properly. If we can have all students wear their masks properly it helps all staff and students feel safer at school. Our goal is to keep students in school.
We love having in-person school. Thanks for working with our staff to make that happen! |

What happens during Homeroom?
Families, do you ever feel disconnected from the middle school setting because your child has so many teachers? Homerooms can be a great place to make you feel more connected to our school! A Every day your child starts their day in Homeroom. Building relationships is a priority at Lombard, and our Homeroom is a place to focus on social emotional learning! During the holidays we carve out extra time in our homerooms for teachers to do special activities with a smaller group of students. If you have a chance, take some time to connect with your child's homeroom teacher!
