Notice to Whanau

Re: Year 8 Dress up Day

Dear Whanau

As part of a Year 8 fun week the children decided that each day they wanted to come dressed in a different theme. The children brainstormed ideas and came up with a plan themselves.

Monday - First letter of their name

Tuesday - Opposite

Wednesday - Holiday

Thursday - Anything but a bag

Friday - beach theme with a shared lunch

THIS WAS ONLY THE YEAR 8 CLASS NOT THE WHOLE SCHOOL

This morning the school has become subjected to some concerning phone calls which has led to some abusive posts online about our school community. The school does not condone or tolerate this behaviour and remind people that anything shared can be dealt with in accordance with the guidelines under the Harmful Digital Communications Act.

This week has been seen as a bit of fun (for innocent children) to end their time at Otautau School which has been organised and driven by a fantastic bunch of kids.

Otautau School (like every other school) is an inclusive community that does not discriminate against race, identity or gender.
