The bald eagle is our national bird and it is threatened. It is a third level consumer, is a bird of prey, and is at the top of the food chain. The Bald Eagle mostly eats fish which makes it a carnivore. It makes the biggest nests and lives in North America. There are two different types of bald eagles: the northern and the southern. The northern is found across the entire United States and the southern is found in the gulf states.
