Gators of the Week - Work hard. Get smart. Do good.

Gators of the Week: RB Volleyball Wins Thriller to Advance to Lower State Championship

Work hard. In a thrilling Halloween night win at Wando High, River Bluff defeated defending 6 time Lower State Champion Wando for the first time in school history. It took five sets but our Gators had enough to defeat their rival foe. The Lower State Championship will be Tuesday night at 6 PM at Lexington High School. The winner advances to the State Championship to be held at River Bluff at 7 PM on Saturday. Lexington and River Bluff spit in the regular season. Come to the Blackout and support our Gators going for their first ever State Championship bid.

Gators of the Week: Clue on Stage Nov 14 and 15

Get smart: In a unique collaboration with Theater 4 HN and Orchestra Honors, our Fine Arts department puts Clue on stage Nov. 14 and 15 in the Performing Arts Center. With live music in the pit and amazing acting on stage this show will not disappoint. Make plans now.

Gators of the Week: Student Section Rocking for Last Regular Season Game

Do good. RBHS students shine on Friday night as their energy and support lifted our Varisty Football team over Lexington for the second consecutive year. With cheers, confetti and even a smoke screen, our student section is the best in the state.

Orchestra Students Give Back

The Presbyterian House of Lexington invited RB orchestra students to play for a dinner event that was held earlier this month for their residents. We had 13 RB orchestra students there to perform (Piper Phipps (10), Brianna Talton (9), Leiney Grace Bryant (10), Karina Kewlani (10), Zulal Cakir (9), Alaina Gindlesperger (11), Emma Beck (12), Gavin Turner (11), Grace Zhou (11), Rachel Loging (10), Tripp Modelewski (12), Jane Taylor (9), & Sara Smith (9)). Mrs. Jo Hanna, orchestra teacher from Meadow Glen MS, was also there to play along with the students. The residents and staff all thoroughly enjoyed it and asked the students to come back and play soon. They did have one special song request for the student's next visit... The Tiger Rag from Clemson. This was a fantastic volunteer musical opportunity for our orchestra students. They are looking forward to playing there again in the near future!

Signing Out Procedures

A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.
