- September 25 - ACT 80 Day
September 25 - ACT 80 Day
- Teachers may revise the time allocations within the guidelines of the Teacher Expectations document to delineate the amount of synchronous vs. asynchronous time for each class.
- Teachers are not required to provide additional asynchronous activities for the afternoon of Act 80. There may be ongoing assignments and activities on which students are working; however, teachers do not need to create another list of activities for this time. If you do so....all assignments should have a submission deadline of 11:59pm.
* Please begin to discuss the schedule for September 25th with your students.
NOTE:
We also plan to schedule a MAP testing training for staff that expressed they needed help during the 9/9 faculty meeting. If did express you needed help or a refresher this will be something you would need to attend ....we will advertise more details about it as we get closer to the date.
Looking Ahead into October --- MAP #1 Testing

Virtual Testing Block : 8:30am - 10:15am
* Please check your roster's for accuracy and any inconsistencies.
- Virtual Testing Block - 8:30am - 10:15am - Period 1 Class
- Period 2 - Start at 10:15am with our PSSA Schedule
The plan is to use 8:30am -10:15am as our testing block in homeroom/period 1 and then follow our PSSA schedule live synchronously until 3:15.
---> All attendance will be taken during the MAP testing blocks. Teachers will need to remain present and responsive to the students via the zoom classroom during the testing block.

Getting to know our New Teachers at PGMS
French - Ms. Claudia Brown
- I have nearly 25 years of experience teaching French language. Claudia, currently is an Adjunct Professor of French at Rosemont College.
- In my free time, I love reading about French society, past and present, and history, as well as discovering new (and old) Francophone music and film.
- I have worked on civic projects in Morocco since 1999.
Technology and Engineering Education - Mr. Terrence Schnitter
- Master’s Equivalency, Technology Education
- Enjoys musical theater and tennis
- Youngest of nine children in his family
6th Grade ELA - Ms. Logan Flint
- I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade. I am very excited to be joining the middle school team.
- Outside of school I enjoy being outdoors. I love hiking and going for runs.
- Something many people don't know about me is that my family raises buffalo.
Attendance Reminders:
Teachers who have a Daily Attendance period must enter daily attendance in Period 1 EACH DAY. They may also enter attendance information for their class- PERIOD 2 each day, but Daily Attendance in Period 1 must be entered. Teachers should not enter attendance for period 2 and leave period 1 blank.
Teachers may go back and correct attendance that they have already entered by changing the date at the top to the date in question and then making the attendance change. (this can be done up to 5 days later)

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Secondary Teachers will use one of three codes in the official “Daily” attendance period (DA at HS and Period 1 at MS) as well as in attendance for all other periods throughout the day.
AU - Absent Unexcused (Absent unexcused code)
PWC - Present work completed (Present code)
PNC - Present work not completed (Absent excused code)
Must use one of these three codes for all periods and the one that would be counted for daily reported attendance would be period 1 at the MS.
