Quarter Three Grades
Our district distance learning team has continued to meet on a weekly basis to review feedback and to adjust what learning looks like for our students. As you may be aware we decided to move the close of quarter three from March 27th to April 6th. Students and teachers had a longer window of time to work together, redo assignments and gain additional support. Finally, a team at the high school reviewed all grades and provided plans to students who may have extenuating circumstances. We feel confident that the quarter three grades are a true reflection of the progress that has been made and report cards are now ready to be viewed.
All work for "Incompletes" issued are due Friday, April 24th
All SHS families should have received an email with their student's report card in PDF on Wednesday, April 15th. If you believe that you did not receive an email or if you would like a printed report card mailed home please contact your school counselor or call 647-4120.

End-of Year Events
Thank you all for your patience as we wait to hear further guidance from Governor Romindo regarding the rest of the school year. The governor is scheduled to make an announcement regarding schools this week. In the meantime Principal Hassell, and Superintendent Blanchette are beginning to research, plan, and seek feedback on end of year events in case we are unable to gather.
Mr. Hassell spent time on a state-wide principal zoom conference to discuss graduations, proms, and honor nights. While we understand how difficult this time is, especially for the class of 2020, we will be sure that students are honored in a respectful and memorable way!
We will begin to reach out to families and students for more feedback as we obtain more guidance from the state.
What we do know... We are looking at alternatives for prom based on when it is safe to gather again. We are planning a virtual event for senior scholarship night. More info to come!
Seniors, no matter what happens, we are organizing graduation gowns and are designing a lawn sign to be given to each family soon!

CTE Printers Create Ear Savers for Essential Employees
Our CTE 3D printers are being put to use to make these small devices, dubbed "ear-savers" to help reduce soreness and irritation due to constant wearing or masks during this time. Our ear savers are being worn around the state by people working in hospitals, care centers, and grocery stores.

AP Exams from The College Board
Exam Details. Students can take their AP Exams online on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. They'll also have the option to write their responses by hand and submit a photo.
Exam Schedule with Course-Specific Exam Information
Exam Communications. Over the coming weeks, email will continue to be the primary way we reach out to you and your students. Please remind your school community to mark collegeboard@e.collegeboard.org as part of their approved sender lists and encourage them to update their cell phone numbers in their College Board accounts.
Exam Prep. Earlier this week, we reached out to AP students to understand how they're preparing for AP Exams and what additional information or resources they'll need. And today we shared information with AP teachers about their students' exam-taking intentions, asking them for their help in ensuring students are aware of changes to this year's AP Exams. Please check in with your AP teachers for access to that information.
Free Online Learning. Students can tune in to live online AP classes and review, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. ET, hosted by AP teachers from across the country. On-demand recordings also allow students to watch at a time that's best for them and their families. Teachers can use these lessons to supplement their online instruction or they can assign these lessons as independent learning for students.
Student Practice on AP Classroom. When students log in to AP Classroom, they'll now see free-response questions that can help them practice their knowledge and skills as they prepare for this year's AP Exams. They'll see scoring criteria to help them revise their responses and they can get direct feedback from their teachers. Students don't need a lockdown browser to complete free-response questions on AP Classroom.
And, here are a few helpful links to make sure everyone in your school community has the latest information about this year's AP Exams.
