You may only be one drop in the world, but even the smallest drop starts a ripple.

We decided to have some fun this month and see what our DREAM community likes during the holiday season.
KEY CLUB CORNER
Key Club is a large student organization within DREAM, so we want to provide updates on its happenings. Update courtesy of Amy, Key Club Editor.
Pennies for Patients is being moved to January! It will be run the same way as last year.
This past weekend we attended a bake sale and made over $80 for Key Club funds.
We hope to hold a Fine Arts Night in March and everyone-not only key club members!!! Are welcome to help. We hope to see you all there, and if you’d like to help out attend the next Key Club meeting after break.

WHERE THEY ARE NOW
Hello, my name is Leslie Adamski and I’m a full-time college student at Ridgewater. I am currently doing my AA-Liberal Arts (generals). When I’m done with my generals at Ridgewater, I’ll be transferring to Mankato State University for my bachelor degree in Human Services. My goal is to become a State Social Worker. If it wasn’t for DREAM, I wouldn’t have been this far because my advisors pushed me to get me where I am today. There were times when I felt like giving up when I had to write a paper, present my project, or when I had to give a speech, my advisors helped me believe in myself that I could do it and helped me every step of the way. If it wasn’t for my advisor Michaela who taught me how to make a rubric, showed me how to outline, or taught me proper ways to do a speech I wouldn’t have been able to understand what my professor in college wants to be done in class. DREAM also showed me that everyone’s voice can be heard so I tried with all my ability to make those who entered DREAM welcomed. DREAM is an independent work based school and has many opportunities for you to explore many different hobbies of yours. My favorite project that I did at DREAM was my dog project. I looked up the research in how a dog makes an impact on humans and their histories. Not only did I do that, but I showed a clip of videos I put together in skills that my dog was good at. My dog currently passed away and I am blessed that I had the opportunity to show my fellow classmates and advisors how special my dog could be. I graduated DREAM with the class of 2017 and I’d say DREAM left a lasting impact in my life!
PARENT/GUARDIAN PERSPECTIVE
DREAM Technical Academy has a School Advisory Council that meets once a month on the second Monday evening at 6:30pm at the school. Their mission is to provide guidance and direction for the school. The Advisory Council consists of 50% of DREAM staff and 50% of DREAM parents, community members, and a student. Our parent representatives can bring your input to the Advisory Council or direct it specifically to a staff member.
