What is chlymadia?

It is a STD causing bacteria.

How is chlamydia transmitted?

It can be transmitted through sexual intercourse or oral-genital contact.

Signs and symptoms of chlamydia.

In women

  • Unusual vaginal discharge
  • Pain
  • Bleeding
In men

  • Itching around the genitalia
  • Burning feelings around the genitalia
  • Swollen testicles


There are VERY few ways to actually treat chlamydia, with only antibiotics being able to successfully treat chlamydia.

Problems that can arise from chlamydia

In women

  • Infections of the urethra
  • Inflammation of the cervix
  • PID
In men

  • Inflammation of the urethra
  • Epididymis

Prevention of chlamydia

  • Abstinence
  • Latex-free condoms
These are the only 2 ways to prevent chlamydia. However, condoms can fail, which may result in you still getting the STD.
