Mrs. Brewer's Newsletter
2nd Grade
Week of October 23 - October 27
Field Trip: We had a blast at our field trip! Thank you so much to our wonderful chaperones!
E-Learning Day: On Monday students will have an e-learning day. Students will need to go to Schoology and click on Homeroom. This will contain all of their e-learning lessons for the day for my class. They will also need to go to their specials folder for the day (Art).
Tests: This week students will be taking a Selection Quiz (Wednesday), Grammar Test (Friday), Spelling Test (Friday), Vocabulary Test (Friday), and Module 3 Reading Test (Friday).
Donations: I have attached a link to our classroom Amazon Wishlist below if you would like to donate to our classroom.
Please remind students to charge their Chromebooks each night. I have 3 boys at home, I know that life happens and we sometimes forget. I do allow students to charge in the classroom if there is a charger available.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Brewer

Homework Information
IXL (Teacher Starred Skills), Brainzy, XtraMath, MathFactLab are all great websites for students to practice on.
READING
Students should read 20 minutes every night.
MATH
Math homework will vary from worksheets, practicing addition and subtraction fluency facts, and online practice of skills. I have sent home a Student Practice Book with each student. These books should stay home and are for them to practice the skills we are working on at school. I will also assign extra practice on the McGraw Hill website that students can practice on at home.
* No homework will be graded.
** Students will bring home unfinished morning work every night. These are great to use as homework for your student. Students do not need to return them to school. Monday is spelling practice, Tuesday is vocabulary practice, Wednesday is math practice, Thursday is grammar/generative vocabulary practice, and Friday is sentence correction practice.
