The Richardson Review
October 1, 2021
Hello Richardson Families,
October is here, the weather is cooling off and the trees are changing colors. The mornings can be cold so students might want to wear a light jacket or sweater. At the end of the day the weather might be warmer and students might not need that extra layer. It's a good time to remind them they should put their jacket or sweater in their backpacks so they will have it the next morning. It's also helpful to label your student's jacket or sweater with their full name so if it gets lost we will know who it belongs to.
Masks
Please make sure you are sending your students to school with masks each day. We have a limited supply of disposable masks on hand and we are going through them almost faster than we can order them and we want to do what we can to keep all students safe and
healthy : )

Quarantine/Isolation Guidelines
Quarantine/Isolation Guidelines: These guidelines are based on best practices provided by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and are valid during the period in which ISD 622 has all students, staff, and visitors participating in universal masking. COVID-19 is an evolving situation and, as such, these guidelines are subject to change. Vaccinated STUDENTS WILL NOT need to quarantine if they are exposed to a positive COVID-19 case at school or as a household contact UNLESS they become symptomatic. WILL need to isolate if they become symptomatic or test positive for COVID-19. If a negative test is received after becoming symptomatic, students can return to school. Students who become symptomatic while at school need to be sent to the health office immediately. Unvaccinated STUDENTS WILL NOT need to quarantine if they are exposed to a positive COVID-19 case at school. WILL need to quarantine if they are exposed to a household contact who is symptomatic or tests positive for COVID-19. If a symptomatic household contact receives a negative test result they can return to school. If a household contact tests positive, a shortened quarantine period cannot be requested until they have been able to either isolate away from the positive individual or the positive individual has completed their 10 day isolation period. WILL need to isolate if they become symptomatic or test positive for COVID-19. If a negative test is received after becoming symptomatic, students can return to school. Students who become symptomatic while at school need to be sent to the health office immediately.
*All shortened quarantine requests require approval from the Contact Tracing Nurse
