Dear Parents and Students new to ACMA this year,

The National Honor Society is an honors club for students in 10th through 12th grade who have; a GPA of 3.5 and above, value community service work, show good character and want to develop more leadership skills while here at ACMA. We have helped with information nights, recruiting new students, many school events, organized community service projects, helped with blood drives and run Art Days for several elementary schools in our district.

This year we are working to find new ways to help our ACMA community as well as our community at large. This letter is about one of those new ideas we had for helping out ACMA. Students new to ACMA are a great asset to our community and we look forward every year to welcoming them into our family. This year that connection is much harder to make so we have a way NHS can help. We will be setting up mentorships pods between NHS students and the new students who would like that type of relationship. The ideas is that each NHS student would be given the names of a few new students that they can email once a week or so to check in with them to see how they are doing and to answer questions they may have. As this new program progresses, we hope to find other ways for these pods of students to connect using Zoom get togethers.

This letter is to let you know what this new program is and to tell you how to sign up for it if you want to join the mentorship family. If you are interested in joining please CLICK HERE. Our next ACMA PTO Restaurant Fundraiser will be at Panda Express at Cedar HIlls Boulevard and Barnes Road on December 11th from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. ALL DAY.
