3rd Grade Clap Out 2021

The 3rd Grade Clap Out is a fairly recent tradition at John Sevier Elementary. The goal of this tradition was to allow the K, 1st, and 2nd grade students and staff to applaud and recognize all of the 3rd grade students as they exited the building at the end of the school year. Family members chose to line up outside the building to clap for their students as well. It has been a challenging and unusual school year, but we are happy that we are able to continue this tradition and celebrate a successful school year!

At 10:30 am on May 20th, parents and family members may line up outside the auditorium entrance/exit to clap as our 3rd grade students begin to leave the JSE building for the last time.

We will have a clearly marked area for parents and family members to stand and clap for all 3rd grade students outside the Auditorium entrance/exit. No students will be dismissed to leave with their parents or family members until all students have been through the line.

Last Day of School This Thursday!

Please note that our LAST DAY of school for STUDENTS is this Thursday, May 20. John Sevier Elementary students will be released at 10:50 A.M. Buses will run and breakfast will be served (no lunch service on the 20th). Keep in mind that this school day, despite the short schedule, is considered an official day for attendance purposes.

2021-2022 STUDENT VERIFICATION AND REGISTRATION

Recently we opened the portal for both RETURNING STUDENT VERIFICATION and NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION. As the family of a returning student, you should have been notified by email with all the details. This year, rather than using a SNAPCODE to access the verification site, you will simply use your PowerSchool Parent Account. The same will be true in future years too.

The NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION process will also happen in PowerSchool, so those families will create their Parent Portal first, and then go through the registration process.

If you are a family who received a Verification of Residence letter via e-mail, your documents must be submitted to your student's school no later than May 20, 2021 in order to be placed on a class roster for next school year. Please remember to have your verification form notarized and include ALL documents by the due date.

Review the section below if your child will be in KINDERGARTEN during the 2021-2022 school year.
