Unit Description
This unit tells us about surface area, volume,area and perimeter. The unit teaches children to learn about how these subject help us in real life and also tells us about the jobs. Also helps us with the jobs that require the 4 subject. Children may have interest in some of the jobs that we give them an opportunity, to learn about .To learn about the subjects that they require so that may be a good thing for the children and might encourage them to think more into what they are learning and how is it in person in the future.
What is Perimeter?
Perimeter is the outside of a shape. Perimeter is measured in units. The perimeter is the total distance around the outside of a 2D shape.
Perimeter = add all sides
Area
What is Area?
The amount of space inside the boundary of a flat (2-dimensional) object such as a triangle or circle. Area is measured in square units.
Area of Square & Rectangle = L*W
Area of Triangle = B*W 2
What is Surface area
Surface Area is the total area of surface of a 3D shape.Surface Area is the sum of all the areas of all the shapes that cover the surface of the object. Cube ,Rectangular Prism,Prism,Sphere,Cylinder, Units.
Surface Area of Pyramid = (L x W) + 4(B x H / 2)
Surface Area of Rectangular Prism = 2(L x W) + 2(L x W) + 2(L x W)
What is Volume
Volume is the space inside a 3D shape.Volume is the amount of three-dimensional space enclosed by some closed boundary, for example, the space that a substance or shape occupies or contains.
Volume of Rectangular Prism =L × W × H
