20th September 2019
From the Principal
As we look towards the end of Term 3 a range of academic programmes are coming to an end including the Speak Up programme, the Science Show and the Optiminds programme also concluded with our assembly this week. NAPLAN results have been distributed today and our School Athletics carnival yesterday created a finale for many children who have been developing their sporting skills throughout Term 3, not to mention the P&F having a couple of big and very successful fundraisers over the past month.
So it has been a very busy and successful time at our school, please take the time to read in more detail, some of the successes in our community.
As Tracy moves into her final week of work, a reminder that our end of term liturgy will be held at 9am on Thursday 27th September and this is our opportunity to farewell Tracy as a community. We have invited Tracy’s family and any past staff members who have worked with Tracy. The liturgy will be led by the Year 2’s and following the Mass we will have a special morning tea, coordinated by the P&F. Please come along and join us if you are able to.
Best wishes for the coming fortnight.

School Athletics Carnival
As we reflected on our school athletics carnival yesterday, we felt things unfolded as smoothly as possible given the variables that presented on the day. The weather was going to be a factor of us but we were confident that the majority of the day was going to be fine, after some early showers, but that wind was cold! The closing down of the freeway took us all by surprise and obviously impacted on the timeframe for the day. Considering the late start, it was great to get through all the events planned for the benefit of the children, albeit a late finish to the day. Thank you to the parents for their flexibility and for all the contributions to the P&F cake stall which made the day more enjoyable for the parents with the coffee van and the cakes. It was a great day of healthy competition and fun for the children.
