Introduction
There are many different forms of religion in this world. There is Doges, Non-Doges and everything in between. But the three main religions are Christianity, Judaism, and Islamic. Today, we will be teaching you about the religion of Islam.
Basic Info
Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia somewhere around 600 A.D by Muhummad. In modern day, it is mainly located in the Middle East of Africa. The official Islamic holy book is the "Quar' an".
Beliefs and Practices
Muslims believe that God sent down holy books like the Quran, the Torah, and the Gospel, and revealed them to messengers like Muhammad, Moses, and Jesus. Muslims practice the statement of faith, daily prayers, charity, and fasting.
Holy Days
Every religion has their own holidays and celebrations. The two main Islamic holidays are Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Fitr is a holiday on Wednesday the 6th of July in the Gregorian calendar and Eid al-Adha is on Monday the 12th of September in the Gregorian calendar.
Location
Islam is practiced in Southwest Asia and North Africa.
Symbols, Paintings, and Clothing
The official symbol is a black moon-shaped crescent with a black star to the right of it. Islamic paintings are usually are very vibrant and distinctive, and for the clothing there is a head piece with is for modesty and a long dress to cover everything up.
