Big picture

Congratulations Mrs. Falls!

Mrs. Falls is retiring! She has been the face and Director of First Impressions at our school since the conception of Oakview Middle School in 2002. Her uplifting voice and spirit has been a true asset to Oakview and Lake Orion Community Schools. THANK YOU Mrs. Falls!!

  1. How many in years in education? 7 years teaching Special Education in Bryan, Ohio, 3 years Reading teacher at Carpenter , then 19 at Oakview!
  2. How many years in LO? 22 years
  3. What plans do you have for your retirement? Lots of family time, including lots more time with my grandchildren, gardening, learning new things, a little traveling, and trying to gain confidence to ride a bike!!!
  4. What was the best part about being in LO? Every day being different, watching the kiddos grow, learn and mature over their 3 years in middle school, getting to know our OMS parents, and making lots of great memories with my Oakview family.

8th grade award celebration

We will honor our 8th grade students at an award ceremony on June 10, 2021 at 12:45 pm. Unfortunately we are not able to allow parents to attend :(. However, it will be recorded and I will send out the link for you to watch at your convenience. Your 8th grade child can even watch it with you :). It will be a very nice ceremony, including student speeches. The 8th grade students will be able to have a bit of fun afterwards as well!
