First Aid Tips

CALL 911

Before you do anything, make sure to contact the emergency service if the event is serious.

Check your surroundings!

Make sure it is safe for you before you continue with aid.

Get Consent

If the child is unconscious and by them selves, the provide care. If the parent/guardian is present, or if the child is conscious, then get consent from the parent before continuing.

Provide 2 rescue breaths if the child is unconscious and not breathing. Children cannot last as long as adults without breath, so it is important to provide air as soon as possible. Next provide 30 chest compressions at 100 beats per minute, followed by 2 rescue breaths.
