Registration

  • All families (in-person AND elearning) must attend attend registration at your scheduled appointment or EMAIL the front office to make arrangements for a different time with the front office. Parent only unless child care is an issue. freedom7elementary@brevardschools.org
  • Register on APT website Freedom7APT.com
  • Required student planners must be purchased prior to registration through the APT website
  • T-Shirts will be available for purchase (blue ribbon and Friday red)
  • Used uniforms will be available for purchase.
  • Purchase uniform bottoms and Freedom 7 Polo shirts at Bartman Uniforms online or in-person. https://freedom-7.spiritsale.com
  • Complete "How my child is going home" form (Child Care, Walk/Bike, Multi Family Car Pool or Single Family Pick Up) There will be NO Park and Pick Up for the first nine weeks at least. All but our few immediate neighbors will be picked up in the loops. DO NOT PARK IN NEIGHBORS YARDS- if you have a car you are a car rider. Walkers and bikers will meet adults outside school property beyond the perimeter fence line.
  • Register for Freedom 7 Child Care. Spots going fast. Social distancing and all safety procedures will be followed
  • Receive NEW Silent Dismissal car tag. All students will remain in their classroom for safety and social distancing. Your car tag is how we will digitally notify teachers to send students to the car loop. Staff will be in halls to help direct children while also social distancing

Multi-family car pools will use NORTH (bus) loop.

Single family pick -ups will use the EAST car loop (Sunrise Drive)

  • Watch your Teacher Meet and Greet Video
  • Receive all information needed for first day of school success

In-person Procedures

Staggered Arrival Procedures

  • Students in grades 3-6 will wear face masks/shields and follow social distancing. K-2 highly recommend wear face masks/shields
  • Students K-6 registered in Child Care arrive between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM in the front (bus) loop
  • Students K-6 wishing to have breakfast should be dropped between 8:30 and 8:45 in the front (bus) loop
  • Students grades 1-6 wishing to go directly to class should be dropped between 8:45 and 8:55 in the east car loop (Sunrise Drive)
  • Kindergarten students should arrive at 8:55 in the east car loop (Sunrise Dr.) During the first week Kinder teachers will greet them in the loop. Kdg students dropped earlier for breakfast will be escorted to class by a faculty member by 9:00
  • At this time parent/guardians will not be permitted to enter campus
  • Instruction begins promptly at 9:00. Students will be issued a tardy pass if they arrive after 9 by seeing Mrs. Carol in the front office. Parent can watch child enter from vehicle and an adult will escort them to class.

Cafeteria Procedures

  • Students in grades 3-6 will wear face masks/shields and follow social distancing. K-2 highly recommend wear face masks/shields
  • All students will use hand sanitizer before entering the cafe'
  • Only students buying lunch will walk through the food line following social distancing and wearing masks
  • Students will be assigned seats, 2 to a table, facing the stage. Masks may be removed once seated
  • Students will use specified doors when entering and exiting to prevent passing
  • When standing to leave students will put their masks on and sanitize hands as they exit the cafe'

Classroom Procedures

  • Students in grades 3-6 will wear face masks/shields and follow social distancing. K-2 highly recommend wear face masks/shields. 1 shield per child will be provided and sent home daily for disinfecting. We will not be able to replace lost or broken shields. Lanyard will be provided to assist with masks.
  • Watch Teacher Meet and Greet video RELEASING REGISTRATION DAYS
  • Students must sanitize hands every time they enter/exit the classroom
  • Doors will be propped open to prevent cross contamination
  • Mask breaks will be provided
  • All student supplies should be labeled with child's name and not shared
  • Planned bathroom and hand washing breaks daily
  • Classes in K-2 have own bathroom. Grade 3-6 will each have own restroom to reduce multiple group use
  • Support your classroom teachers. They are working hard to provide an exciting interactive education for your child/ren here and at home.

  • We will begin calling student numbers at 3:25
  • Pull all the way to front of the car line
  • Child care will be picked up from classrooms at 3:20
  • Walkers and Bike riders will be released at 3:25 and will exit out walker/bike gate near cafe. No adults may gather at that gate. Please wait at perimeter fence line-socially distanced so that our children can exit safely without going through a crowd.

Elearning Information

  • Attend registration and receive all log-in information and codes for the first day of school.
  • Watch Teacher Meet and Greet video- Coming to YOU the day of YOUR REGISTRATION
  • Set up a quiet area and have all basic materials available at home
  • Be ready each morning by 8:45 in uniform and get logged on
  • Teacher will share daily schedules and expectations (schedules could vary daily)
  • Plan to have several independent breaks per day (recess, lunch, class PE, Restroom/stretch)
  • Art, PE, Music, Spanish, and Media (where applicable) will join their virtual classroom at the assigned time of the day. The kids do not need to know another classroom code :)
  • Pre-Assessments will be scheduled in person at Freedom 7 during the first few weeks of school. You will receive textbooks and materials needed from school at that time
  • Support your elearning teachers. This is not the same as distance learning and they are working hard to provide an exciting interactive education for your child/ren at home and those at school.
