NHW Weekly - April 18th

To NHW Parents/Guardians:

URGENT - Car Riders Pick up

Parents arriving to pick up your children.....if you see that the line is down to the road, PLEASE do not block the entry or sit out on Winterstown Road awaiting to pull into the school. This can create a very dangerous situation.

We ask if you arrive and see the line out to the road, you pull into the fire hall or church parking lot and patiently wait till the line begins to move with the car riders. Or even consider not arriving until after 3:35 p.m. (on most days we do not begin car rider dismissal until this time).

For the safety of our students, and other drivers on the road, we cannot block the entrance or the roadway in anyway.

Thanks for your consideration and help with this.

Water Bottle Labeled with your Child's Name

You have seen a similar request dating back to March, but with the weather beginning to warm up, we are seeing an increasing number of students in the health room to request for water. It is absolutely necessary for Ms. Kim to be able to put attention to the students' who need her immediate attention and would greatly appreciate it if you could send your child into school with a water bottle and especially on gym class days as most PE classes are being held outside.

Grade 4-6 Parents: A Resource Called "Paper"

Earlier in the year, your child's teacher should have shared information with you about "Paper," an at home tutoring program that is available free to our families 24 hours a day. I have shared a brief commercial about it below as well as links to slides about a parent session being offered on April 19. Consider signing up to join. This may be a timesaver for you when you are struggling to help your child with their homework!
