All School News
Greetings, BCS Families!
We hope everyone was able to enjoy the snow days at home with your families - students regaled us with their stories about sledding, skiing, or just spending time watching movies with the family. While we know some were really hoping for a third day, it was wonderful to see all of our students back, refreshed and energized.
At this time, we have a few updates regarding staffing. We are pleased to announce Mrs. Joni Say Gan as our Building Secretary at BCS! You all know her as our BCS Office Assistant, and Mrs. Say Gan has been instrumental in absorbing the duties of this role and helping keep our office in good order. In addition, we want to congratulate and wish our very best to Mrs. Ann Truesdell, BCS librarian for 20 years, who will be leading both high school libraries, Seaholm and Groves, in our district. Mrs. Truesdell has been an outstanding member of the BCS team, and we will all miss her greatly. As Mrs. Truesdell makes the transition to our high schools, we will move forward in our search process for our new Media Specialist at BCS, and we feel fortunate to have Mrs. Truesdell close by to help us make the transition seamless. Congratulations, Mrs. Say Gan and Mrs. Truesdell!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
Yours in BCS solidarity,
Dr. Hakim & Mr. Hill

2022 BCS Blast Auction - Call for Volunteers
Please help us make the 2022 Blast Auction a huge success! Did you know that PTA fundraising is the primary source of financial support for BCS's unique curriculum? Our annual Blast Auction is the largest PTA fundraiser and supports the purchase of technology, books, supplies and programming not covered by public funds. Last year's Auction raised over $28,000 in funds to support BCS - we need your help to do this again!
Check out the positions we could use YOUR help with and volunteer! Please sign up by February 10th.
