Upcoming Events, Meetings, and Breaks
Here are upcoming events, meetings, and breaks:
-Spring Testing Season Begins: The testing season (for ELA, math, science, and social studies) begins on April 4 and runs through April 29. Click here for the entire testing schedule.
-Spring Break: April 14 through April 18 - No School
Celina Holds March 21 Professional Development Day
On March 21, Celina teachers participated in a professional development day. Our teachers taking LETRS met at Wright State Lake Campus, where they review content with Margo Shipp (our LETRS Program consultant) and worked vertically with our Literacy Coaches on literacy program initiatives. Our Non-LETRS teachers worked on new learning for Part 2 Component 2 (Establishing Relationships) of Assessment Capable Learners (ACL). Teachers discussed strategies to implement into their lessons and participated in an economic simulation and trauma/informed care workshop.

DLT Holds March Meeting
On March 16, our DLT held their fourth meeting of the 2021-22 school year. Below are key highlights from the meeting:
-We heard an update from each building regarding their sharing out of the OTES 2.0 Rubric/ACL Crosswalk and reflection of new learning of 2.2 of our ACL Profile.
-We reviewed the March 21 PD schedule.
-We began a conversation on Least Restrictive Environments (LREs) for students receiving special education services.
-We reviewed our process for having the DLT, Principals, and Teachers complete the SIPR survey (We will set a due date at our next admin meeting).
-We reviewed the process and form for the upcoming 2022 Spring ACL Implementation Review. We decided to review the process and form further at our next admin meeting.
Our next DLT meeting will be held May 18.

Celina Literacy Leadership Team Meets
On March 2 and 23, the Celina Literacy Leadership Team met to continue their work. This work includes building a struggling readers flowchart and tiered instructional framework for our staff to utilize in designing instruction.
