We had such a great turn out at last year's Pet-A-Palooza that we decided to do it again! On Saturday, April 29th, WBE will be hosting another awesome event that will allow our families and community to work together. At this event, our families will have the opportunity to show off their pets, visit vendors from our community, have fun, and support a good cause! Check out the Pet-A-Palooza flyer here and be sure to register (form here) by April 3rd in order to guarantee your t-shirt!

Scholastic Book Fair April 3-7

Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:

• Set the example. Let children see you read.

• Have a collection of books in your home. Update this collection routinely to keep pace with changing tastes and reading skills.

• Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your children to choose their own books to read.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.

Book Fair dates: April 3 - 7, 2017

Talent Show - Friday

The PTA sponsored Talent Show showcases some of our talented 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders will be taking place on Friday, April 7 at 7pm! This will be a show you won't want to miss!

Math Pentathletes

Our Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Math Pentathletes competed in a tournament last Saturday and represented WBE well! We are so proud of these kiddos. Thank you to sponsors Kelly Anglin, Jill Lawless, Teresa Martin and Jim Wilson and to our super parents who volunteer to be game monitors. You rock!

Adventure Dash - PTA Fundraiser

All students will be participating in the Adventure Dash on April 18th. This FUN activity will take place during the school day and is an awesome opportunity for our kids to participate in physical activity while fundraising for their school. Our awesome PTA sponsors this activity as one of their major fundraisers. The money raised goes directly back to WBE to support classrooms (funding field trips, technology and supply purchases). Information will be coming home soon about this fun activity and how YOU can help!
