Registration Reminder


Registration Day will be August 18, 2014



In an effort to streamline our registration process, the Pleasantville Community School District will be holding a REGISTRATION DAY for families of students in grades PK-12 for the 2014-15 school year. Printed registration packets will not be mailed to families and online registration will not be available.

Information for Registration Day is as follows:

Location: HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA

Date: MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 2014

Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM

All new and returning families should plan to attend Registration Day to:

  • Enroll new students and complete records requests
  • Verify/Update current contact information in JMC
  • Complete required State forms:

o Home Language Survey – one per student in grades PK-12

o Medication Administration – one per family

o Physical Activity Contract – one per student in grades 6-12

o 2014-15 Iowa Eligibility Application for Free/Reduced Meals

  • Pay textbook and technology fees (cash, check, or online through PaySchools)
  • Purchase student, adult, and/or family athletic passes
  • Make deposits to lunch accounts
  • Pick up class schedules

Registration must be completed and all fees paid prior to laptop distribution for grades 6-12 which will take place August 19-21. Registration forms and school supply lists are available on the school website.

School resumes Wednesday, August 27th.

Pleasantville Back to School Event August 5th

Pleasantville Schools, along with the Marion County Providers group, are sponsoring a Back to School Event for eligible families. School supplies, back packs, shoes, free dental screenings, free haircuts, free meal/drink, free immunizations for uninsured children, plus other great benefits are being offered!


The event takes place from 4-7 PM on August 5th at the Pleasantville Elementary School, with supper being served at approximately 5 PM.
