Report Cards were sent home with students this past Thursday, March 14th.
We want to wish a happy retirement to Sparkman Science teacher Melanie Dalton! We thank her for her years of service to Sparkman High School.
The Senior Awards Ceremony is May 8th at 2:00 p.m. in Gym One. Seniors, please turn in all scholarship offers you have received to the College and Career Center as soon as possible.
The delivery date for cap/gowns & invitations has changed to April 11. Herff Jones will be on campus on Wednesday, March 27th, but only to take any payments.
We have implemented the Raptor system at Sparkman High School. This new sign in system will scan your drivers license or other acceptable identification and provide the visitor with a printed badge to wear while on campus. Please make sure to have your ID ready the next time you visit. Thank you Madison County Schools for providing this service to ensure our students and staff are safe!
Congratulations to the Sparkman Crimson Guard Drill Team who the won State Drill Championship with 1st place Overall, 1st place Unarmed Regulation, 1st place Unarmed Inspection, 2nd Unarmed Duo Exhibition, 1st place Armed Inspection, 1st place Armed Regulation, 3rd Armed Exhibition and 3rd Armed Solo. Way to go Senators!
We want to congratulate our ACT Club 30 Students that were featured this week! Our ACT Club 30 is students who scored 30 or above on the ACT.
Basketball Cheer Tryouts are March 26th - March 28th. Any student interested in trying out should pick up a tryout packet from Coach Graves in room 209.
Prom guest forms are now available for pickup outside of Mrs. Fitch’s room (407). Forms must be submitted to the front office no later than May 3 in order to receive administrator approval.
Sparkman Engineering is currently taking applications for the 2019-2020 FIRST robotics team 7446. Current available positions are 3D designers, electrical techs, programmers, drivers, mechanics, and computer animationists. Please see Ms. Hawkins or Mrs. Hodge for more information.
Congratulations to the SSO Step Team for winning 1st place in the 3rd annual Rocket City Step Show!! Way to go Senators!
There will be an FCCLA meeting on Tuesday, March 26th, in room 151 during 5th lunch A.O. Please see Mrs. Ryans or Mrs. Webster for a pass.
Tryouts for the SHS Varsity Dance Team will be April 1 - 5 from 4:00- 6:00 pm in Gym 1. Anyone interested in trying out can pick up a packet from Mrs. Neis in room 412.

- Select “Resources”
- Select “MySchoolFees”
- Select “Category”
- Pick “Course” and add to Cart (Repeat as needed)
- Once all categories have been selected, hit “Checkout” button and follow instructions for payment. (Do not check use billing information to create a MySchoolFees.com account)
- Click on who will “own Public Fees” and designate if the funds are for the same recipient or several recipients
- If funds are for the same recipient, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name.
- If funds are for several recipients, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name for each category.
- Submit and continue.

Sparkman Track and Field
The Sparkman Track and Field Junior Varsity team competed in its first meet of the season. The JV team consists of student-athletes from S9 and Sparkman and Monrovia Middle Schools. For many of these athletes it was their first meet and everyone did an awesome job.
Earning points for the Girl’s team was Rasia Graves who finished in FIRST place at the 400m distance and 4th in the 100m. Amanda Davis finished 8th in both the 200 and 400m races. Madison Glass threw for a 5th place in the discus while Aiyana Seay finished 8th in the same event and 6th in the shot put. The Girls 4x100 Relay Team also won Gold.
Terrell Young earned the Boys team points with a 7th place in the 400m dash. While Terrant Young threw for 6th place in the shot put. The Boys 4x100 Relay Team finished 4th in their relay event.
Congratulations to athletes setting new Personal Records during the meet, Rasia Graves, Shalyn Croone and Madison Glass for the Girls. For the Boys it was Matthew Durkovich, Terrell Young, Drew Duckworth, Terrant Young, Patrick Harris and Bobby Gray.
In team points the Girls finished 6th while the Boys finished in 9th place. Congratulations on a great first meet.
