Fresco
Description:
Fresco is a technique of painting mural freshly and wet plaster so that when it dries it becomes a part of the wall.
Significance:
It has a large importance because it was the main way to paint during the Renaissance. Many churches where painted this way. It took a very long time to complete one painting because every part was detailed.
Sistine Chapel
The SIstine Chapel is 40.5 metres long and 14 metres wide and the whole ceiling is covered in paintings.
