Congratulations to the CEC Classified Employee of the year, Mrs. Cassie Reiber! Thank you for all you do!

Each year, State Employees Credit Union offers a scholarship based on community service, academics and financial need. This year's recipient is Alexander R. Andrews. Alex plans to attend North Carolina State University to earn a degree in Engineering.

Alex's activities include being a member of the South Mills Junior Volunteer Fire Fighter, volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, serving as youth leader for the Pathfinders Club, and leading the Cross Country and Track Team. Alex was the recipient of CEC's 2021 Bruin Award.

Mr. Whitehurst's band students received straight superior ratings at the NC Music Performance Assessment. Way to go!

CCHS student, Emely Arredondo, has been selected as one of this year's National Honor Society Scholarship semifinalists!

The Science Olympiad Team took overall first place for the middle school division!!!

Our kids competed in the FFA Tool Id Competition. The students placed 1st and 2nd in the middle school division.

We would like to give a shoutout to Fran Barco, Kassandra Roache, Bethany Godfrey, and Melissa Perez for all of their hard work and going above and beyond everyday for the staff and students at CIS!

Mrs. Williams' class celebrated 2-22-22 by completing educational activities in small groups. They also got to work on their AR goals reading with flashlights. Students enjoyed these special events.

Mrs. Wynkoop and Mrs. Copeland's 5th-grade students are working with Ms. Brickhouse from the Camden 4H. Students are enjoying their hands-on learning science lessons.

Ms. Foy, fifth-grade teacher, and Mrs. Woodward, AIG teacher collaborate together on various ELA activities with students. Their lessons are planned and organized to meet the needs of all students.
