EMT Program at Calhoun Community College
Calhoun Community College has extended the application deadline for its dual-enrollment emergency medical technician program. The extended deadline is May 10th, 2019. You can expect to hear back from your application by May 24th, 2019. It is imperative that you begin checking your email following the deadline to make sure you do not miss it. Be sure to check your clutter/spam inboxes as well. You will be prompted to accept or decline your spot in the program in this email and will have 5 business days to respond. We will forward lists of students who accept their spot in the EMT program to all high-school counselors for scheduling purposes as soon as responses are recorded. However, if you meet the minimum requirements and have applied please let your counselor know of your intent to take the program next year now so that they may plan your schedule around it.
Our program orientation will be Tuesday, June 18th at 6:00 p.m. (Details will follow in acceptance emails.) This will allow accepted students plenty of time to complete background check, health physicals, and drug screens before our August start date.
