Communication
Lago Vista ISD recognizes that communication between campuses and parents is a crucial part of building a strong school-home partnership, which we greatly value. As such, the District is committed to providing open, two-way communication and encourages all Lago Vista ISD parents to share the same commitment.
While social media presents us with an amazing venue to share and exchange information, if a concern arises regarding your child, or child’s campus, please contact the campus immediately. This timely communication directly with the campus is a crucial first step in working with you to resolve your concerns. As a district, we are committed to ensuring that all concerns are addressed as quickly as possible, but campuses are only able to assist with finding solutions when we are made aware of concerns through direct communication.
Thank you for your helping with Lago Vista ISD's continued efforts to build strong and effective partnerships with our parents!

Mrs. Janine Ramsey - First Grade Teacher
1. How long have you worked in Lago Vista and what did you do before you started at LVES?
I have worked for this district for twenty glorious years. Ten as the Art teacher and ten in first grade. I moved to Texas as soon as I graduated from Indiana University. I loved the area and decided to stay.
2. Where are you from originally?
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. I lived in Colorado for first and second grade and then moved back to Indianapolis until I graduated high school.
3. Tell us about your family...
I am the oldest of four kids. I have two brothers and a sister. They all live in Indianapolis and I miss them tons. I have two kids of my own, Maya who is in 7th grade and Thomas who is in 2nd. I have a step daughter who is grown and about to start a family of her own. She lives in Arizona and we visit them as often as we can.
The beach! We want to visit Costa Rica and Colorado in the near future but I always love a beach trip.
5. What's your favorite board game? Movie? Hobbies?
I like playing board games with my family. Lately we have been playing Apples to Apples or Clue. My son-in Law recently taught us how to play poker.
6. What is your favorite part of teaching?
Meeting and getting to know new students and families each year. I love seeing kids make so much growth throughout the year.
Ms. Kathie Voisinet - Third Grade Math/Science Teacher

Character Trait of the Month - Fairness

- Don't blame others carelessly;
- Treat all people fairly.
Students will learn more about Fairness in Guidance with Mrs. Sexton!
Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! I am proud to announce that our school has been awarded as a “Kindness Certified School 2018” due to all of our students who participated in the Great Kindness Challenge! And a shout out goes to Janine Ramsey’s 1st grade class who had the highest percentage of students who participated!
The character trait we are learning about in February is Fairness. Fairness means practicing justice, equity, and equality, cooperating with one another, and recognizing the uniqueness and value of each other.
In our guidance lessons this month, students will be learning how teachers show fairness in the classroom, and that fairness does not always mean that everyone gets the same, but that everyone gets what they need. Students are also learning about how our country’s laws are established to show fairness and justice for all of our citizens.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”~Martin Luther King, Jr.
¡Hola familias LVES!
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
