Project 111 Cares!
THE NUMBER ONE MOST DANGEROUS THING A TEEN DRIVER CAN DO IS DRIVE WITH OTHER TEENS IN THEIR CAR!!!!
In a recent study, teens were two-and-a-half times more likely to engage in potentially risky behavior when driving with a teenage peer versus driving alone. The likelihood increased to three times when traveling with multiple passengers.
- In fact – a teen driver’s risk of death per mile driven goes up: 44% when they drive with one passenger under 21.
- It goes up: 102% when they drive with two passengers under 21
- And the risk of death per mile driven goes up: 339% when they drive with three passengers under 21
That means that when a teen fills up their car . . . Their risk of death quadruples!
Parents! Please talk to your teen about this. Project 111 is teaching them to Be A Better Rider – to not be a distraction as a passenger, to be an extra set of eyes, and to manage the driver’s phone for them. Please encourage your teen to be a better rider and limit your young driver as to how many friends they can have in their car! #beabetterrider

"Dressy Clothes Closet" (Prom & Homecoming Closet)
We are collecting pants, dress shirts, ties, shoes, homecoming dresses, and prom dresses to offer to Chemics who may need them to attend MHS dances. Donations may be dropped off in the main office or your student may bring them to room 348. Thank you so much for helping all of our Chemics to feel their best at prom and homecoming!
