A Short Post-Labor Day Week

Hoping everyone had an enjoyable three day weekend! We are headed into a short week that includes our Emergency Prep protocols. (See below). It also looks like a hot one. If you do experience any AC issues, please email Laura and she will connect with site/district maintenance.

Have a great week!

Back-to-School Night! Thank You's!

Thank you to everyone for a terrific Back to School Night! All night long, I overheard positive parent comments in the hallways. This is the most authentic form of validation of the work you do because it is unprompted and totally genuine.

World's Biggest Thank You to Tracy Pinckney for organizing us, coordinating with all the parent groups for tabling, bringing in the food truck (nice fundraiser for ASB!), and thinking of all the logistical details. Of course, the evening is a team effort but it helps to have someone out front. Thank you to Cliff and the Choir for performing, to our crackerjack counseling team for helping with schedules, to ASB and BSA students for shepherding parents through the PHS labyrinth, to Mr. Tacata for bringing the whale to the multi, and to everyone who made the night work for parents and students. Bravo!

Back to School Dance - Neon Explosion!

A super first dance of the year! Thanks to our ASB class and Messrs. Jackson and Aja for pulling off their first dance, and all the dancerones for keeping everyone in line. And that line dance was top shelf!

Slots for Homecoming Dancerones are going fast! See Aja-Jackson before it's sold out.

Sports Round Up

Some promising signs during much of the varsity football tilt vs. Vintage High School. The Trojans held their own, in a virtual tie midway through the third quarter before falling out of it in the fourth. The Trojans travel to Terra Linda this Saturday hoping to put a win on the board.

Girls Tennis (home vs Healdsburg), Volleyball (away at Casa) and Golf (home vs El Molino) swing in to action Tuesday with Boys Soccer (home vs. Lower Lake) on Wednesday. See the athletics calendar below for updates and dates for future matches. Student athletes love to see staff members out cheering them on. If you can, please try to make it out to one of these during the fall.

Emergency Prep Week! 9/8-9/11

Another baby quake in Sonoma over the weekend (2.9) reminds us to pay special attention to procedures and protocols as we head into Emergency Prep Week this week. Please refer to Tracy's presentation ("Emergency Preparedness Week 2.pptm") for specific daily information.
