MAY 2021

Hello parents, Mrs. Cruz here with your monthly newsletter.

This month is very important for our staff and students because its STAAR month! Please remember no visitors will be allowed during testing days.

3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be testing Tuesday May 11th - Thursday May 13th.

Some ways you can help your student:

* Rest, make sure they get plenty of sleep.

* Eat breakfast, a breakfast option is provided by our school.

* Encourage them not to stress. They have worked hard all year for this test.

*Encourage them to do their best!

Principal's Message

Manuel Jara Parents,

Believe it or not we are approaching our last six weeks of school! Although this has been a year like no other, our students, parents, and staff have made the best of it and focused on the positive. We appreciate all of your support and flexibility throughout the year! There are a lot of questions surrounding next school year and I would like to invite you to give your feedback as our district makes these plans by taking our parent survey at: . This is your opportunity to share your opinions, concerns and give suggestions regarding what next school year should look like. As we receive information we will share it with our families and post it on our social media pages.

Next school year also brings more exciting news as we prepare to welcome our Pre-K and Kinder students back to campus! Manuel Jara Elementary will begin serving PK-5th grade in the Fall. If you have or know someone who has a child that will be 4 years old by September 1, 2021 please complete their PK registration at We still have space available so please register soon to ensure your child has a spot.

Please review the list of important dates below so you stay informed and up to date on what is happening at our campus. We look forward to the last six weeks of school and maximizing this time to prepare our students for the following school year!
