PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
I hope you and your family are getting much rest and relaxation. The 2020-21 school year provided us with numerous challenges which highlighted our strengths as a community. Our resilient students, staff, and community members overcame unprecedented challenges. I am so proud of all our T-Bolts for all your hard work and well earned successes. I am also excited for what's to come for VJA! Our hope for the 2021-22 school year is the continuation of our legacy of high expectations while taking care of each other. My intent is to do everything I can to ensure that we afford the best opportunities for all our students and staff.
I understand the anxiety that comes with the transition process and will try diligently to make things as smooth as possible for all of you. My goal is to continue the history of open communication provided by Dr. Nolting before me. One example is that we are continually monitoring IDPH and CDC guidelines for the start of the school year and will message out accordingly. Furthermore, we are appreciative of the Andew community members that have assisted in our District’s Strategic Framework planning meetings this summer. We will continue to message about both the guidelines for the start of school as well as the ongoing progress of the development of D230’s Strategic Plan. Please continue to refer to our d230.org website, our VJA website https://www.d230.org/Andrew and our Andrew High School Twitter page @AndrewHS_d230 for updated information on any and all developments at VJA.
I am so excited and humbled to serve as your Principal. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you again and best wishes for a happy, healthy, and enjoyable summer!
Sincerely,
Abir Othman
Principal
