OCTOBER 1 REDISTRICTING PROCESS MEETING STRUCTURE
Council Rock School District will hold a Redistricting Proposal Community Feedback Meeting on Monday, October 1 at 7 P.M. in the Council Rock South Auditorium. Those not able to attend in person can access presentation information in real time by watching the CR YouTube channel. October 1 presentation information with audio will be posted to CR YouTube within 24 hours of meeting completion.
The October 1 meeting will begin with representatives from Cropper GIS reviewing the current redistricting proposal. Next, meeting attendees will move to the CR South Cafeteria where they will be able to view large versions of the current proposed redistricting maps and related data tables. As participants review provided documents, they will be able to interact with representatives from Cropper GIS, District officials, and Redistricting Committee members.
At the same time, participants will be invited to provide thoughts and observations on the current proposed plan via an electronic survey. Community members not in attendance can take the survey by clicking on the live link in the Redistricting hub anytime after 7 P.M. on Monday, October 1.
The redistricting proposal electronic survey will remain open for community feedback for one week, and results will be shared with all members of the Redistricting Committee at their next meeting on October 23.
COUNCIL ROCK ALUMNI SURVEY NOW OPEN
Council Rock is asking for alums to take approximately five minutes to complete our recently developed Alumni Survey. This survey will help district officials understand the experiences of Council Rock graduates' readiness to enter a college or career environment upon graduation.

CR TEACHERS ATTEND TEXT DEPENDENT ANALYSIS TRAINING AT BCIU
Several CR teachers attended the first of a four day workshop at BCIU for Text Dependent Analysis this week. Elementary School Literacy Specialists and Middle School ELA Teachers attending the workshop will share the information they learned on TDA instructional strategies in a train the trainers model for preparing students for PSSA. CR attendees included, from left – Lisa Lohwasser – NES, Tara Gittelman – HES, Nancy Caplin – HMS, Kristin Parke – NMS, Donna Kennedy – RES, and Pat Erickson – ELA Coordinator K-6.
WRIGHTSTOWN ELEMENTARY KICKS OFF SCHOOL DAY WITH MORNING NEWS PROGRAM
Wrightstown Elementary students are very excited to have the opportunity to be part of a new school club - M.A.T. or the Morning Announcement Team. In order to be a part of this team, 5th grade students had to fill out an application form and audition for roles in the anchor or tech team. Student teams rotate daily and share the daily events at Wrightstown. They also have the chance to get those creative juices flowing with special spotlight clips such as quote or trivia of the day- all student researched! Watch out Action News Team...you may have competition!
