Congrats to our Boys and Girls Swim Teams for their State Championship Success! The Jerome Girls won their first State Title on February 25, while our Boys team finished 3rd overall! If you would like to see pictures and all results check out @JeromeSwimming on Twitter.

A huge congratulations to our Competition Cheer Teams who competed last weekend in the OASSA Cheer State Championships. They have worked extremely hard all year and their hard work paid off! If you know any of the girls and coaches please congratulate them when you see them!

Dublin Jerome Fencing traveled to the Rocky River Invitational Saturday. Senior Mariam Abaza placed second in Women’s Saber backed up by Freshman Varsha Balasubramani, who placed third. Freshman Grace Wood placed Third in Women’s Epee. As a team, the women placed second to Western Reserve Academy but outscored host Rocky River.

Tickets are now on sale for the Dublin Jerome Drama Club production of Shrek the Musical March 9, 10, 11th at 7pm (reserved seats) with a sensory friendly performance on March 11th at 2pm (general seating).

Many may not be aware, but there is a modified indoor track and field season here in Ohio. We have had several athletes participating throughout the winter, and we have some who qualified to the . This meet took place Saturday, in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute. I have listed the athletes below, including their events, so that if you see them you might give them a high five :)

This is a great accomplishment and experience for our athletes. To qualify, they have to be in the top 24 in Division 1 in the state. We are super proud of these athletes and looking forward to the great things they will do in the Spring.

Seniors in National Honor Society, proof of service hours are due by April 15. Check your email for the link to submit the proof of 30+ service hours after induction. The link is included in most NHS emails from Ms. Pochodylo. If seniors have any questions, they can reach out to Ms. Pochodylo at pochodylo_amy@dublinschools.net.

NHS is holding a food drive for the Dublin Food Pantry from March 1-16! Food and hygiene items will be collected in 3rd period classes. The 3rd period class that collects the most items will win a donut party! Students who don't have a third period at Jerome can drop items off in the main office and enter their name into a drawing for a prize.

The most needed items are worth double and include individual toothbrushes, menstrual pads, diapers (larger sizes), baby wipes, laundry detergent, deodorant, shampoo, condensed soup, oatmeal packets, canned fruit, peanut butter, and pancake syrup.

Please consider donating to help the Dublin Food Pantry continue to serve our community.

Columbus State hosts a variety of fun, educational summer programs for middle and high school

students, as well as entering college freshmen. Our summer camps give students an opportunity to engage in immersive activities and explore exciting career paths.

Topics range from cybersecurity to health care and other STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine) fields. We encourage students to sign up for as many camps that interest them! Our summer programming is often offered at no cost to eligible students.

The PTO is already starting to plan for the 2023-2024 school year. If you are interested in joining the Jerome High School PTO, either on the Executive Board or as a Committee Chair, please fill out the Google Form. The PTO is a great way to meet other parents and staff. This is also an exciting time to be involved at Jerome, with the Grand Re-opening of our building in August! Go Celts!

With the new addition to Dublin Jerome High School, the commemorative brick patio is also getting some additions… your personalized Celtic Brick. The current brick patio was installed in 2014 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the DJHS as a gift from that year’s senior class. Who knew that less than 10 years later, we would need the current additions to accommodate the incredible growth in our schools? The original patio will be relocated to the front of the school near the new school addition in the summer of 2023. The relocation allows us to add additional bricks to complement the original memorial bricks.

This is your opportunity to purchase a beautiful, engraved brick paver to celebrate and memorialize students, alumni, school team, club, organization, or your favorite teacher in a meaningful and unique way that is forever set in stone.
