East End Elementary News
September 12, 2022
Dear East End Families,
We continue to have a great year at East End. Your cooperation and support means so much! Thank you! We are forever grateful to our East End parents and guardians for your efforts to assist us in our work with your children.
This edition of East End Elementary News highlights some important upcoming dates and information. Top highlights from this newsletter:
The last two sessions of Volunteer Training at East End will be on September 20th and October 13th. Mrs. Behnke’s class and the first grade already have field trips planned for early October. Please be sure you have completed training no later than September 20th if you would like to join for these two field trips. Those already trained from our July volunteer training sessions, be sure to have requested your background check to have your application up-to-date for possible chaperoning opportunities.
We are excited to again have swimming lessons for our second graders. We have missed having this opportunity during COVID protocols. Read below for more information.
Please be sure you have completed a free and reduced lunch application as approvals from the prior year will expire on September 15th. See more information below from the district.
As always, thank you for your support of East End Elementary!
Have a wonderful week!
Tammy Day, principal
An Important Message From SDPC About Free and Reduced Lunch Applications - Benefits From Prior Year Expire September 15th
your password or phone number. Do not send money or gift cards.
If you are in need, have you submitted the Free and Reduced Lunch Application for the 2022-2023 school year?
Last year’s meal benefits will expire on September 15, 2022 if you have not submitted a current application for this school year. Free and Reduced price meals are available to students whose families meet the income guidelines located on the application. In order to qualify for meal benefits for the new school year, a new application must be submitted. Once benefits expire, this means the student will need to pay for their meals if a new application has not been completed for the school year. If you have previously received a letter for this school year regarding meal benefits, this email does not pertain to you.

The information you provide is entirely confidential and will only be used to determine your child(ren)'s eligibility to receive free or reduced meal prices. Filing out a meal application does not affect your credit.
