Positive Shout Outs
We are very happy to recognize our students that were chosen to receive positive shout-outs this week. They were selected by staff members for demonstrating their PRIDE behaviors. These students have been positive role models in their classrooms and gone out of their way to demonstrate acts of kindness. It is a great moment for all when they are recognized on the announcements and have their names displayed on the bulletin board outside of the office. Thank you to all these wonderful kids who truly make a difference every day!
Summer Bridge Night
In May grades K-2 will be hosting a summer bridge night. Parents are invited to Thomas Jefferson to meet with staff members to discuss ideas and programs that can be used with your child to help prevent the summer slide. Many parents always ask what they can do to help or what should they do to help their child not lose ground over the summer. Come meet with us for some wonderful ideas and suggestions. Looking forward to seeing you. Check out the dates below.
May 6th - 2nd Grade
May 11th - 1st Grade
May 13th.- Kindergarten
Please come to the big gym from 6:30- 7:30 pm
Please look for the grade level invitations to come home and please RSVP so that we will have the right amount of materials for the evening.

We would like to take this time to thank our wonderful PTO for all that they do for the staff and students of Thomas Jefferson. A special thanks to Mrs. Lisa Mooney for her dedication over the past 7 years. Mrs. Mooney served 2 years as the Vice President and 5 years as the president of our PTO. During this time, she has truly made a difference for our school. She will not be holding a board position next year, however, she will still be an active PTO member. So we look forward to still working with her in the future.

Correction
On April 13th we celebrated Thomas Jefferson's birthday. Each student received a bookmark. It was brought to our attention that the quote that was printed on the bookmark was not a quote from Thomas Jefferson, however, it was a quote from Thomas Edison. Although the message of the quote was in line with our school vision, it was not one that was from Thomas Jefferson. Please see below for the correction.
This is the bookmark that was sent home with each student.
