Junior High Virtual Tour

Hello Rising 7th grade families. Linked below is a Virtual Tour created by some of our 8th grade students. We hope that this helps give your child a preview of our Junior High building. In addition, students will have the opportunity to walk their schedules during schedule pick up days in August. This will allow them to find their specific classrooms prior to the 1st day of school and increase their familiarity with the building.

Virtual Tour

Schedule Pick-up days are currently scheduled for:

Monday August 23rd 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Tuesday August 24th 8:00am - 12:00pm

*Please note that these dates/times are subject to change.

As an added layer to support Rising 7th grade students with the transition, only 7th grade students will be in attendance on the 1st day of school, Monday August 30th.

We are excited to welcome all Rising 7th grade students to the Junior High!

Keep an eye out for updates and reminders in the newsletter!

Menus for the week of June 1-3, 2021

Next week is officially titled clean out the freezer week . We will be offering a variety of options, different each day. I'll notify students by Friday the schedule of chili cheese coneys, pizza, brunch, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and some pizza. The deli will stay open as long as I have supplies, and salads, bagel meals and moo meals are the same, as long as we have supplies we will offer them.

Thanks for supporting us this year! Next year we will return to some normalcy, with more options.

If you are planning to move out of the district.....

Parents, as we look ahead to the next school year, it is important to know how many students will be attending Sycamore schools. If you know you will be moving out of the district, or your child will be attending a private or parochial school, please let the office know as soon as possible. You will also need to complete this Withdrawal Form and email it (to send in, or mail the form to Mrs. Gould in the office. Thank you!

Notes from our School Nurse

Another school year is winding down. Please plan to pick up your child's medications from the clinic. Call 686-1753 to arrange a time. This includes daily medications, emergency medications (Epipens, inhalers etc) as well as any over the counter meds like Tylenol and Motrin.

Any medications left in the clinic after June 4th will be properly discarded at that time.

Your children have done a fantastic job this year wearing their masks, social distancing, handwashing and all things COVID. These students have shown us that we can do hard things. Have a great summer.

Thank you,

Laurie Dobrowolski BSN, RN, LSN

Lost and Found

Hello parents!

As the school year winds down, we wanted to remind you that there are many items in our Lost and Found area in the Cafeteria Lobby. Please have your child check to see if there may be a jacket or coat, lunch box, books, etc. that belong to him or her. If items are not claimed by the end of the school year (June 3rd), they will be donated to charity. Thank you!

6th Grade Picnics

Get Involved in Greene PTO 2021-2022!

As we plan for the upcoming school year we are hoping that it will be a more “normal” one for all of us. That means more active volunteer opportunities for parents and programs for our students. But we need YOUR help to make this happen. Please consider one of our open Co-Chair positions for next year. They cover a wide range of interests and passions such as wellness, gardening, photography, community outreach, environmental awareness. Use your talents and time to make a positive impact on our students and school. Click here for a list of the current open positions. Click here for further descriptions about these positions. And please reach out to Betsy Rinehart or Kathy Mercurio at for more information or to indicate interest in any of these positions.
