It Says...I say...and So....
I never knew child obesity was such a big problem, especially in Canada! Hearing that most children won't outlive their parents is ridiculous. Reports say that children spend a lot of time on screens and don't eat well and don't get their daily dose of vegetables. I'm starting to feel concerned about my health because I spend a significant time online and eat junk food and drink sugary drinks too. Even though I'm not physically obese, and I go out over the weekends, I'm definitely going to cut the amount of time I spend on screens.
This is a very big problem that obesity is so frequent and the percentage of obese kids are just going up. I think that everyone should exercise at least 20 minutes a day even if it's just going up/down the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Also I know having the technology we have today is very tempting but people should try cutting the time they use on it, maybe max 2-3 hours a day. Even if you do start exercising and reducing screen time, your diet will be affected the most. Try to keep drinking pop to a minimum like max 2 sodas per week. Also junk food has a lot of trans fats that are very bad for your health(and increase weight). I'm not saying stop eating junk food but don't be the person that eats family sized food in one sitting. Following these steps will surely help this teen obesity problem.
