What's Happening...
Over the past week, teachers and staff came back in to closeout their rooms for the school year. Tuesday - Thursday next week from 11:30-1:30 student belongings are available for pick-up. Mrs. Trainor has emailed students and families that have items for pick-up. We are also asking that students please return any school issued items such as books or equipment. Please label the book or materials with the teacher's name.
School Counselors continue the process of student scheduling for the 2020-21 school year. Schedules will be made available prior to the summer break.
DESE Commissioner Jeffrey Riley recently provided guidelines and recommendations for graduation. These guidelines include holding outdoor ceremonies beginning July 19th. We are currently discussing this option as it has been a goal to have the Class of 2020 graduate together. This would change the current graduation date of July 17th. Details of what a socially distanced ceremony will look like will take a little more time but we will communicate the new graduation date to members and families of the Class of 2020 as soon as possible.
On June 2nd, cap and gown and yearbook delivery will take place. Seniors received an email in regards to this earlier in the week. Although graduation will not take place until July, we believe it is important that members of the Class of 2020 have their cap and gown for the original graduation date.
We encourage you to reach out through email to administrators or school counselors if we can help in any way. School nurses are also available if there are any questions on health concerns. As always for the latest news and announcements follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. #tpsprepares
