LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Turtle Lake Families,

Warm greetings to you as we enter into Labor Day weekend! This past week has been busy with all of the events we have hosted in preparation for the upcoming school year. Students have been assigned to homeroom classes, families have stopped by Turtle Lake to pick-up materials, and students and families have met teachers during Early Goal Setting Meetings. During this unique start to the school year, we appreciate the flexibility of this community in participating in these modified events.

Over the course of the next few weeks, there will continue to be information sent to families as we prepare for many of our students to return to school in the blended model. During the first two weeks of this school year, all students will be learning from a distance. Prior to Friday, September 18, a decision will be made and communicated to all families about the learning models that will be utilized starting Monday, September 21.

I would also like to acknowledge the value we place on the partnership with Turtle Lake parents and extended families. Whether your family chose the full-time distance learning option or the blended learning option, sacrifices by parents and families will be made to help ensure your child continues to learn. Thank you, to all of the parents and extended family members for everything you have done and will continue to do in support of your child. We are thankful for your partnership in this process!

As the year begins, do not hesitate to remain in close contact with your child’s teacher if you have any questions or need assistance. We are excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year together!

Sincerely,

Darin Johnson, Principal
